Photography & Culture @ St Lawrence College

Dual Credit Program

We live in a visual culture that is more and more being defined by technology and the use of images. This program explores the impact of technology and media on our culture, and offers a hands-on approach to a wide variety of photographic processes and techniques. This program is for students wishing to pursue post secondary programs in imaging arts, fine art, photo-journalism or cultural studies. Portfolio development for admission to University and College programs is emphasized for senior students.
The program facilities include a well equipped film-based darkroom, in-class iMac computers running Adobe CS3, ink jet printers, an adjacent studio with professional flash lighting as well as instruction in the iMac digital lab at St. Lawrence College.

Photography & Culture is only offered in Semester 1 of each school year
